We’ve also had multiple businesses commit in the last few weeks to joining our highest accolade, NCZ Platinum Certification. This not only involves a PPN 06/21 Compliant Carbon Reduction Plan to drive down their own footprint but engages their supply chain too, with a Supplier Compliance Programme, to start influencing their wider scope 3 emissions.

Might it be time to rethink your office supplies to reduce your emissions?
Well, switching to eco-friendly office supplies is a small change, but one that adds up overtime.
So, consider sourcing supplies made from recycled or biodegradable materials and prioritise suppliers with sustainable practices (our Partner Directory can point you in the right direction).
Also, opt for digital where possible, like using e-signatures and digital filing instead of printing, which can significantly reduce paper waste.
By consciously choosing greener options, your business can cut down on waste and its carbon footprint!
Team Spotlight
This month, the spotlight is on Adam Hoult, NCZ’s CSO.
And firstly, we must acknowledge his recent milestone birthday! The whole team at NCZ want to wish him a very happy 40th.
Something you may not know about him, is that he regularly competes in Triathlons, a remarkable achievement with type 1 diabetes. Managing his blood sugar levels during extreme endurance events is not easy and requires him to balance his insulin, nutrition, and physical exertion all at once in real time. Yet, he consistently rises to this challenge, demonstrating true resilience, determination, and a passion for pushing boundaries!
Here’s his favourite quote, which aligns perfectly with how we support our clients at NCZ…
“If you haven’t clearly thought through and defined where you want to go and why, you probably won’t get there. But probably even worse, you will get there and realise it’s not where you wanted to get to after all…”
You see, it’s only once you fully understand your carbon footprint and emission drivers, can you strategically set targets and implement a credible reduction plan to successfully achieve your net zero goals.
