First, October marks the halfway point of the financial year and what a fantastic year it’s been already. The growing movement of businesses embracing sustainability is great to see and we’d like to give a huge shoutout to all those businesses recently starting their journey to net zero with us…
We’re also delighted to be supporting those businesses leading the way and this month, we’d like to give a special mention to Linaker. Not only did they make their 2024 LinakerLUAU carbon neutral, but they have also committed to NCZ Platinum Certification. Which involves not only understanding their own organisational and operational emissions, but also the scope 3 emissions associated with their wider supply chain.
Scope 3 emissions are often the largest part of any business’ total carbon footprint and account for 79.87% of Linaker’s. Therefore, the next step on their credible journey to net zero is to collaborate with these suppliers to have an even greater impact.
To facilitate this, we’ve started rolling out their Supplier Compliance Programme with a series of webinars, hosting over 100 suppliers to date. Educating them on responsible business and how to take their first steps to net zero, to collectively make a big difference.
