We always love seeing businesses take greater responsibility for their environmental impact, and in recent years, reforestation projects have taken off. Sustainability Tip
Trees play such a vital role in the world around us…
One tree can sequester up to 10kg of CO2 every year on average!
And provide a day’s oxygen for up to 4 people!
But with around 15 billion trees being cut down every year, replanting as many as possible is crucial.
So, it’s down to each of us to do our bit…
- You could plant a native sapling in your back garden.
- Or join one of our planting events, booking up now for February/ March 2025.
- Alternatively, you could visit our website and sponsor some trees, which we’ll then plant for you.
The choice is yours, but reforestation is imperative to increase the amount of carbon locked away in trees as we collectively take steps towards net zero.
Team Spotlight
Pip is approaching her first anniversary with NCZ, and we felt it only right to give her a special mention and a huge thank you!
She is the cornerstone of our Customer Success Team and has helped 100s of our clients on their journey to net zero. There’s almost nothing she doesn’t know about how best to collect your carbon emissions data!
And whilst her background might have been in finance and nutrition, she’s now truly discovered her passion for sustainability.
Outside of work, her physical accomplishments are incredible, and she competes globally in triathlons. Astonishingly she only got involved when she turned 40, so this is an even bigger feat! Now, she’s competed in numerous marathons, half marathons, eight half Ironman races and has also qualified for IM World Champs.
We think her favourite quote perfectly sums up her ‘just do it’ attitude to life…
“You’re braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
